How do you make your books? (Top)
We take your child´s photo, add a little pixie dust, and voilà! A new book is created. Please remember that our artists create these books based off the photo you submit. It's very important that you send us a photo of your child that accurately represents him or her. Our process is an art not a science.
My child´s skin color is different from the model on your website. Will it still work? (Top)
Absolutely! Any child can enjoy our books regardless of skin color. Check out some examples.
What forms of payment can I use? (Top)
Flattenme accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and PayPal.
Do you ship internationally? (Top)
We ship anywhere in the US and Canada. We're looking to ship elsewhere. Drop us a line if there is a place in particular you would like to ship and we'll try to help.
Do you offer your books in any other languages? (Top)
Yes. We offer our books in English, German, French and Italian. Take your pick.
How long will it take for my order to arrive? (Top)
Approximately 10-14 business days to arrive at your door. You can choose our Faster option which should get it to your place in approximately 7-10 business days. Please keep in mind that flattenme is not reponsible for shipping delays once your order leaves our print facility.
Which photos are the best to upload or send? (Top)
A great book starts with YOU! Your photo makes a huge difference
• Direct Shot: Make sure the entire face and hair are visible, looking directly into the camera. Nothing can be covering the child´s face or hair, like hats or hands. Ideally, the photo is at ´eye level´
• No Dark Photos: The best photos are taken in well lit indirect light. This means no harsh sunlight or flash from the camera. The best light is during the day, either outside in light shade or indoors in a well lit room.
• No Red Eyes: All red eye must be removed
• No One Else: Only 1 person can be in the photo, otherwise we might use the wrong face (yikes!)
• Copyright free: The photo cannot be copyrighted by anyone other than you
If there is a problem with your photo, we will e-mail you to give you a chance to upload or send a new photo.
What if I don´t have a digital photo? (Top)
We accept non-digital photos. Please fill out this form and mail it along with your photo. We will make every effort to get your photo back to you in perfect condition, but we do not take any responsibility for any damage or misdirection of your photo while in our possession. Please do not send us a photo that is not replaceable.
Can I reorder more copies of the book I just ordered? (Top)
Yep. That´s why we keep your photo in our database. You can also easily order additional titles with the same photo. Just add the books to your shopping cart and proceed to check out. Make sure to login using the e-mail address and password you originally signed up with. After you upload a new photo you will be shown a screen with a list of all the photos you previously uploaded. On this screen you can tell us which photo(s) to use.
Where´s my stuff? (Top)
If you chose Standard shipping it takes approximately 10-14 business days to arrive at your door. If you chose our Faster shipping option it should take approximately 7-10 business days. Please keep in mind that flattenme is not reponsible for shipping delays once your order leaves our print facility.
We do not have an order tracker available yet, but if you are incredibly curious where your book is at this exact moment in time, feel free to drop us a line at support@flattenme.com. We are happy to look up your order and let you know where things stand.
What is your return policy? (Top)
We would be happy to refund your purchase or give you a credit for a future purchase for any item you are not totally satisfied with. Contact us at support@flattenme.com and we'll take care of it.
Shipping costs are not refundable. During the order checkout process, please triple check that all information is entered and spelled correctly. We are not responsible for any typographical errors resulting from incorrectly entered information.
What do you do with my photo after my order is placed? (Top)
We treat all of your information with the utmost respect. We will never use your information in any manner other than creating flattenme products, facilitating your order, and keeping in touch with you through flattenme special e-mail offers (if you said ok to that).
We keep your photo in our database just in case you would like to order more books, new titles, or other products with the same photo. If you would like to remove your photo from our database, send us a note at removephoto@flattenme.com. We will send a confirmation email once it has been removed.
